Monday May 31st - Happy Memorial Day!

I took my camera to the lake with me... and what did I do?
I didn't take a single picture for you.

None. Zero. Nada.

*Face Palm*

Well, today was a very easy going day.
I got to sleep in (the last time for a while).
Then we grabbed our friends and headed out to the lake.
I finally became brave enough to get on the Jet-Ski and I have to say I am in love.
It is so much fun and I LOVE pushing that piece of machinery to the limits.
I think I got up to 56mph today... and that was throttle all the way down.
They said it could go 60 but I was trying and it never did.
They lie.
*giggle*

We had grilled chicken and laid out on the amazing floating island thingy.
Then we played some volleyball.
Yeah I am hurting from the sunburn on my legs
(because that is the one place I forgot to put sunscreen.... *face palm*)
but all in all it was a good day.

I dread tomorrow though.
Tuesday is the beginning of Summer Classes for me and I am hating it already.

Don't think less of me, or that I am stupid... but this is the 3rd time I am taking Spanish.
Well... the 3rd semester of Spanish.
I always get so discouraged... I don't like not being good at things.
Plus it stresses me out and I really don't think I need it.
But, I am taking these summer classes to get it over and done with.

We shall see how this goes.

Do you have a class that you hate?
One that you think is pointless?

Oh! Almost forgot, I finally finished editing my friend Cassandra's Senior images and thought I would share some of my favorites!
Enjoy! (and tell me what you think!)

5 days down, 22 more to go!

Sunday May 30th - Lazy Sundays...

I attended church this morning... like I always do.

Then afterwards has lunch with my parents and memaw.

I found myself really enjoying their company.
It is nice sometimes to step away from the friends, boyfriend, work, school, and just think of

Family.

I think I take them for granite sometimes.
Actually... I know I do.

It is sad, I know.
However I am trying to better myself in that area also.
Spending more time with my mom or dad.
We have always been close... but as I get older I find myself wanting more space.
Sometimes the smallest thing sets me off and I feel bad.
Yes, I am still in school and it is best that I stay at home... but I find myself not being at home as much.

Sometimes I feel like my priorities are out of whack and I need to put them back in place.
Starting with family.

They are really important in your life and should be number one.
No one really knows how much time they have on this earth... they could be here one minute... and gone the next.

I know it sounds dramatic and all but I have seen how quickly things can change.

I don't know... I am just being all sentimental and stuff.

It was a good day with the family anyways.

6 days down, 23 more to go!

Saturday May 29th - Work, Work, Work it!

I feel like I am working all the time...
Whether it be for actual work, school, or something online.
I am always on the goal and Saturday I felt that weight of being busy.
My my was so groggy and tired I could hardly concentrate at work.
All I could think about was getting the Memorial Day weekend started!

So when I clocked out... the party began!

Made my way over to the lake to chill with some friends and have a good time.

It was really nice to enjoy their company and relax.
Memorial weekend always kicks starts the "Lake Season"...
All of my friends try and head out there every weekend during the summer but I am not sure how much lake time I will get this summer due to Summer classes starting on Tuesday.

Wow this is going to suck.

Spanish = "pointless for B to learn"

Whatever.

I tried to enjoy as much as the lake as possible.
Soak up as much sun and just chill.
My friends made that really easy.

Sorry this is a short one. Not very exciting I know.

See ya tomorrow!

7 days down, 24 more to go!

Friday May 28th - Day 6 - A Late Night Adventure!

I signed up for a DailyBooth account.

Now... I am totally addicted.

After creating this account I realized I have a lot of social networks.
Facebook, Myspace, YouTube, Twitter, Dailybooth, Blogs, Nings, etc.

Damn.
Having them all typed up makes me seem.... so .... nerdy.

Meh.

So tonight was not the best of nights for me.
I ended up ditching my boyfriend to meet up with some friends in the city.
First stop was Target.

Does anyone else love these umbrellas?
I do. I really do.

Next was Wally-World.
(If you do not know what Wally-World is please proceed to hit yourself upside the head.... then google it.)

I have to say... I love shopping at Wal-mart late at night.
All the weirdos come out to play and it is way more fun to play games.

Yes, I may be 22 but I still play stupid games in Wal-Mart.

One idea I have for the next time was suggested un-intentionally by a friend.
She had the idea to switch around the colors of hair dye in the hair color aisle.

Messed up.
I know.

BUT AN AMAZING IDEA!

Can you just imagine!?

Well... I can. It would be great.

Have you played any late night games in Wal-Mart (or another super store?)
What did you play? Did you ever get caught?
Got any good ideas for me?

6 days down, 25 days to go.

Thursday May 27th - Day 5 - No Excuses.

It seems as though Thursdays are always the longest for me.
Thursday is my hump day.

Not like that, you perv.

Thursdays are "work late" days and for some reason time magically slows in the mornings, lasting all the way until closing. Then miraculously it picks up.

Thursday however was mostly filled with work so there really is not anything interesting that happened.

Well... besides the bus.

As most know I work at a photography studio.
It rocks.

We are always updating props/backgrounds.
So when I was sitting at my desk and a giant shadow past in front of the entrance... I look up to see this monster of a old school bus.
Frickin' awesome right!?

All I know is on one side they will be painting hippie fun stuff.
Right on, man.

Reminds me of that 70's Show.
<3 it!

Anything fun happen at your work recently?
How would you paint a bus like this?

5 days down, 26 days to go.

Wednesday May 26th - Day 4 - Better Late than Never

I am a little late on these.

Oh well.

Wednesday was really fun for me.
After work I met up with a friend of mine so I could capture her Senior Pictures!
She graduates next Thursday and had asked me to take her pics.
I was so terribly excited!
I do enjoy taking pictures and editing them. It is so much fun.

Hence why I work at a photography studio.

I don't have many edited right now... and I am currently not at home, so I can't post any to show off right now.
BUT, I will show some off soon! I promise!
You are going to LOVE them.

For now though you can view some favorite images I have recently found!

Hey. Those last 3 were really excellent photography shots. Just look at them!
Beautiful.
Oh yeah.... the subjects arn't that bad either.

lol

What images inspire you?
Do you have a favorite?
Are you into photography?
Did YOU capture a really great image?

4 days down, 27 days to go.

Day 3 - The Power of Friendship

I am happy to say I have 2 of the best friends ever.

Recently Samantha, Brittany, and myself started a little tradition.
Each week on Tuesday evening we get together to cook, and enjoy each others company.
Usually I am the one preparing the food, with their help of course, and tonight I decided to make Fettuccine Alfredo and Chocolate Mousse for dessert.

At first, I think we started this tradition just to have fun and to give us something to do.
Although it is fun, I think it is really a good thing we hang out like this, just us girls.

After each visit I just feel better.
In a way I leave knowing I have someone who has my back and who cares about me.
Someone to listen to my problems and help me through them over a nice cooked meal.

All my life I have had more guy friends than girl friends.
I don't really know why, but then again I do.

Girls can be cruel. They can be little bitches.

So when it came to friends, I was always picky. Not in the sense that I was a snob, because I am not, but in the sense that I didn't want to make friends with certain people I knew were back-stabbers.

When I came to this small town I was greeted by Sammy who I knew was one of those girls I could be friends with. Brittany and I always knew of each other but grew closer after high school.

All three of us learned how true the statement "you find out who your friends are after high school".

It still amazes me how some people can be such jerks to each other.
I am lucky to have friends like Sammy and Britt.
No matter how hard I fall I know that they will be there to pick me up.
They tell me the truth and they accept me for who I am.
They hurt when I hurt and are happy when I am happy.

These are the friends I will have for the rest of my life.
These are the people whom I want to be surrounded by in life.

So I say surround yourself with people who you know care for you and love you.
Because everyone else ... just do not matter.

Do you have a best friend?
Why are they your friend?
Do you have a fun or special tradition with your friends?
What is a great memory you had?

3 days down, 28 days to go.

Day 2 - Books, Books, Lost, and Degrassi

Something I have to share with you... I found out (through Twitter) that Margaret Stohl, who is one of the authors of the awesome new book series I am reading called "Beautiful Creatures". @MStohl is a viewer of not only LOST but Grey's Anatomy as well. I thought she was awesome as an author... but wow, I just adore her now.

But I digress.

Today I made quite a haul, Book and TV Shows that is.

I picked up Lies by Michael Grant, The Dark Divine by Bree Despain, and Hourglass by Claudia Gray.

Lies, of course, is from Grant's "Gone" series and is the third book. I believe I heard somewhere there is going to be six total. The second wasn't as exciting as the first... but I am hoping Lies makes up for it.

Hourglass is another number three book in a series. Gray's Evernight series has been on the LAT Book list for quite a while now and I have been awaiting the arrival of this one. Yes, it is a vampire book, but it as been a while since I have picked one up and I thought this one would be great! We shall see.

The Dark Divine was not on MY personal list, but it is the Book of May for the Night Owl Society.
Since I am a fast reader I am going to knock this one out this week to prepare for the upcoming BlogTV.
The readers have never let me down before but I open my arms up wide and welcome this new book with some hesitation... as always.

A few other items on my haul list was the fourth season of LOST and the sixth season of Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Unfortunately for me, they only had Seasons 7 and 8 of Degrassi on the shelves. So, naturally, I snatched them up and hope to capture Season 6 soon. I really need to catch up and stop watching the NEW episodes.

As for LOST I was really really into it for the first three seasons. However, because of school, work, LAT, and life I was not able to watch them on Monday nights when they aired. So I have had to resort to waiting until each season comes out on DVD. It sucks. I know.

Besides THAT boring stuff, I finally finished editing some of the images I captured for a friend today! She asked me at the beginning of May to take some pictures of her, her husband, and her little baby boy and I agreed! It was super fun and I really enjoyed it. Here are some images I did.

He is a cutie isn't he!
Well, what do you think? Do you like?

I work at a photography studio and love it. I also play in Photoshop and I LOVE playing with CSS... even though I am still learning. The creative genes in the family were definitely handed down to me.

I guess before I start to bore you again I should say goodnight.

But, before I go...

Do you have any new books you recently bought?
Any TV Shows you are really into?
Do you like LOST? Degrassi? Grey's Anatomy?
Are you into photography? Photoshopping?

Alright, have a good night!

Day 2 down, 29 more to go!

Day 1 - Call me Susie Frickin' Homemaker

There is a side of me that a lot of people don't know about.
However if you have half of a brain and follow me on Twitter/Facebook you will all know my dirty little secret.

I cook like a mother *bleeper*.

Let me rewind about 14 years.

My Mom (aka "Grandmother") handed me my very first cook book.

I find it amazing that I was able to find and image of it, but there it is my friends.

I distinctly remembered baking the "Elephant Ears" from the letter E section.
It was basically a jelly roll.... and delicious.

Ever since then I have found excuses to bake or cook things for family, friends, and even co-workers.

I cannot remember how long I have had a "Recipe Box" on Foodnetwork, but I do know I have nearly a 100 recipes on there. The majority of which I HAVE cooked/baked.

Tonight for instance I made the delicious Enchilada Lasagna from the show Good Eats.

Holy crap was it good. I personally can say so because I impressed even my boyfriends family... who are very tough critics.

It contains sauté d chicken, onions, cheese, corn tortillas smothered in this amazing tomato enchilada sauce.
Let me tell ya... it was spicy in a very very good way.

Cooking/Baking has always made me feel good.
I enjoy watching others delight in something that I created just for them.
The whole process is like therapy to me.

Although writing is my main way to release the tensions of the day, cooking helps me block it out all together.
I focus on the recipe at hand; blending the spices, boiling the sauce, sautéing the onions, grilling the chicken... each task has my complete focus while everything else blurs into the background.

Last night I was upset with my boyfriend and just frustrated, so much so it was affecting me being able to enjoy myself at my friends home. Tonight I set aside my anger and cooked.
Now I feel perfectly fine... not to mention full.

Do you have a way to calm your nerves?
What do you do when you are angry?
Do you scream? Bake? Write? Paint? Walk/Run?
What do you use as an outlet?

I would love to hear I am not alone.

Thanks for reading!

One day down, 30 more to go.

xoxo

Oh Lord, what have I gotten myself into?

I know this may not be obvious to some... but to me it is.

I feel as though I have accomplished nothing in my life.
Everything is left unfinished.

If I were to die today I would forever haunt this world until that unfinished business would be complete.
Even then it would take at least a 100 years.

Or well... that is what it feel like.

It has gotten to the point where it bothers me in a sense that it makes me feel unworthy or useless.
I don't like feeling this way.

So to boost up my confidence and prove to myself that I can finish something that I start, I have created a challenge that I must accomplish. That I WILL accomplish.

For the next month I will be publishing a blog post every day, ending on June 23rd.

I will talk about my life, my friends, my family, books, fanfics, love, life, reality, work.... basically anything that may occur during this time.

So you might say this will be a diary of sorts.

This is not about getting more followers...
or trying to entertain you.

It is solely about myself and doing something for me.

If this sounds like something you would probably NOT enjoy... then I suggest "unfollowing" this blog (although I hope you do stay, company is always nice).

This is NOT the first blog post. It is however the first day (technically).

May 23rd starts the beginning of this month long journey.
It is currently 1:05am and I owe YOU, dear readers, another blog post within the next 23 hours.

Here we go.

xoxo

p.s. Oh Lord.... what have I gotten myself into this time.

First Photoshoot

Hello,

So last week my BFF Brittany and her two sisters were kind enough to let me use them as models.
I wanted to take my new baby outside to play. For Christmas I got a Canon T1i Rebel
My first SLR Canon camera.... *sigh*
I feel like such a big girl now.

Anywho, they were really sweet and put up with me telling them what do to.
It was actually pretty chilly outside when we did this AND the wind was not my friend.
However I was able to capture some really good ones... plus I had some pretty amazing models who are just gorgeous!

Below are just some of my favorites... I wish I could post them all.... but that would be A LOT considering the photo shoot was like 2 hours long. Wow.

Enjoy!

That is all you get *hehe*

Well, tell me what you think! Leave a comment!

Until next time,

Something Borrowed, Something Blue...

Hello,

I think a dream of mine is to become a wedding planner.
I love everything about weddings; from getting ready to the bride and groom driving off into the sunset.
Every little detail, noticed or not... I just love it all.
Luckily, the job I currently have allows me to attend quite a few weddings. Which is pretty freaking awesome if you ask me. Not only attend but go BEHIND the SCENES. I get to see the bride getting ready, the groom finishing up the final touches, decorations before anyone else gets to see them. I get to capture moments that would be forgotten if not for the camera I hold in my hand.
I truly love my job.
However there are many things I would like to do with my life.
I have always wanted to surround myself with business. I thrive off of it.
I suppose if the whole book publishing career does not work (as an publisher or writer)...
I would go to Wedding planning school and do that.
I love to plan. I am organized (when I want to be ;)  ).

But, I digress...

I have an obsession with all things weddings... so I am going to post a couple images from a personal website I love.

This is just one of MANY I have in a collection.

The favorite site I am talking about is:

It is an AMAZING site. I found A LOT of inspiration for "The Question Room".
TQR was formed from my obsession with weddings.
I am a strange cookie but it is happy and good.

So check out Junebug Weddings for more good stuff.
It really is a cool place!

Until next time,
-B-
